Staff Profiles:
Caitlin Hamlett
Partnership Manager
Caitlin joined the Partnership in June 2011. She has considerable experience of working with communities, landowners, local authorities and a wide range of organisations to improve the natural environment, including the development of green network, core path, woodland and open space strategies. She has also worked in environmental conservation on a wide range of projects with organisations such as the RSPB and the Scottish Wildlife Trust, and as a senior planner with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency.
Caitlin spent her former years in Orkney before moving to the mainland where she later graduated from the University of Edinburgh in rural resource management. She then went on to undertake a collaborative research project with Stirling University as part of the Ben Lawers Historic Landscape Project, before qualifying as a planner in 2006. She has led on a variety of projects and initiatives since then, both in the south east of Scotland and most recently in Orkney where she was responsible for the development plan.
In her spare time Caitlin enjoys hill walking and the great outdoors, canoeing along canals with her two Border Terriers in tow and getting involved in local community initiatives.
