Pentland Hills – Increasing Woodland Connectivity around the Regional Park

LFGNP has produced detailed habitat mapping to indentify new woodland creation opportunities. This is being used within the Pentland Hills Regional Park area for planning purposes and is being undertaken in tandem with a detailed programme of landowner consultation on the ground. Lothians and Fife - Integrated Habitat Network (IHN) Mapping

LFGNP is working with the Central Scotland Green Network (CSGN) Support group to develop uniform habitat network mapping of the Lothians and Fife Green Network area. The work is being undertaken by the Forest Research Agency on behalf of the wider partnership. Read Case Study ›

City of Edinburgh - Millennium Woods Project

This project has been initiatied as an active Partnership by Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust and the City of Edinburgh Council. The scheme aims to bring 70 small to medium scale woodlands, extending to 100ha, into managment. These were established as Millennium Woodlands are located throughout the city, with numerous sites being located in parks and other public greenspaces. Read Case Study ›

River Almond - Green Corridor Enhancement

The purpose of the project is to investigate the feasibility of upgrading and expanding the publicly accessible green corridor along the River Almond Coridor between Cramond and Newbridge. Breich Valley Villages Gateway Enhancement Project

This project is being led by Central Scotland Forest Trust in association with West Lothian Council and Fauldhouse Community Development Trust. This purpose of the project was to investigate the opportunities to enhance the attractiveness and quality of the entranceways and approaches to a number of villages in the Breich Valley, West Lothian. The project has won funding from the Central Scotland Green Network Development fund.
